suzuki swift, 1.6 VVT Sport 3d, 1586 / 4, 123bhp, 124 mph top end, 0-60 8.6s
vs
1.6i 16V VTS 3d (>99), 1587 / 4, 120bhp, 127 mph top end, 0-60 7.6s
technically VTS should be quicker!

firstly, there is no such thing as a Swift GTI its a 'Swift Sport' (we sell them at work ) the swift sport is a 1.6 16v vvti engine producing 125bhp and a 0-60 time of 8.9 secs. and considering the Swift weighs a shit load more and has 17" rims, i'd say its n easy victory for the S!

Also very dependant on the driver, a crap driver in the 'S' Could easily lose...
I'm sure you're not a crap driver, so you should win hands down! lol

There is such thing as a swift gti mate there made on f-k reg a mate had one remapped with a cat back and k&n and made 130bhp. They are up on standard figures anyway and weigh less than a vts.
Could be a challenge!

Ones that still exist are likely to have been looked after- mileage and services being key to performance! I doubt some vts are running 7.6 still. A poor filter and plenty of heat soak would scrub a bit of time off!
Does being fat make you a crap driver cause theoretically yo fat ass is slowing things down!?

Suzuki swifts are quite swift but the vts would win. It had to be said. Even though the car in question is the old skool gti version i have raced the new sport one and the VTS is faster no question.
