turning 17...
please only comments to help
Hi im new here ive been driving my RS 50 (new shape very nice wud recomend to any 16 year old looking for a bike!) for 1 year now so i understand thats my 1 year no claims bonus if the insurance alows it
but what im really trying to get at her is can i get insured on a 1.4 Furio OR 1.6 VTR for under £2.000 (preferably £1.500)
and who with? been looking thru the forums and i think im guna give quin direct a call?
also, if i want tinted windows, cd player+subwoofer etc and a backbox exhaust and maybe alloys, do i need to tell my insurance about these? if so which ones and how much do u reckon itd cost?
Much appreaciated!

Would have to tell the insurance about any modification that you do if you want your insurance to be valid.. up to you if you wish to take the risk of not telling them..
i was with quinn for my first year of driving and have now moved away from them as they complete rubbish if you have to put a claim in...
Didnt bother paying out for to of my crashes till my dad rung them and sorted them out..
Id go with them if you dont intend on crashing lol. they are one of the cheapest around. but i wouldnt go with them again..
Im now with churchill..
Ring round and get a few quotes. there are plenty of other good companies out there.

Try Quinn direct or Admiral for insurance on a VTR at 17.

im 18 and im insured at £1900 fully comp with quinn, quinn dont charge you for mods that are just exterior asthetic mods so tell them anyway, This is on a VTR by the way, ring round companys get quotes then play them off against one an another.

I doubt you will get a VTR at 17 for any reasonable premium. Even that quote above for a 1.1 is pretty heavy!
Try Admiral / Quinn / Bell for quotes though, iv alternated between admiral & bell as they seem to constantly give me the lowest quotes. I've also made a claim through Admiral & they were very good, especially sincei was in hospital / recovering the last thig i wanted to do was deal with the whole situation but i never heard a word from them untill everything was settled!

You can easily get a VTR, just the insurace won't be 1,5000.. Looking towards the 2k mark.
