it sounds to me like you've put too much power through it too early to be honest. Once the crack is there, its there, if and when you put more power into it, the crack will get worse and will break the cone.

for a start.. your talking in figures which mean nothing
please talk in RMS
the main cause for this problem is likely to be inccorect setting up of the amplifier.. im guessing youve had the "gain" setting all the way up? or close to full? if so, this is the cause of your problem
in terms of your sub. by cracking, its lost a lot of quality due to the cone not being secure and rigid
you can get a sub re-coned, but it would only be worth it if its a good sub
to stu_n_shell.. my guess is thats its not the sub thats faulty. its just been set up completely wrong

i made sure that it was set up rite and i wasnt putting to much power thought it whilst running it in!

hmm
intresting
looks like a manufactures fault could be likley then
even if you had the gain less than quarter, it could still be too high.. you cant just "guess" when setting the gain.. allthough i ran my pioneer sub on a "guess" which i later found out was incorrect, and ive had 0 problems

ok irrespective to that then, to be honest theres no way that i know of, of you being able to fix that. As i said above, once the crack is there, its there and the SQ will suffer dramatically due to that.
what sub is it by the way?

for a £100 sub, a re-coning wouldnt be worth it
but.. it still would be worth getting in touch with the manufacturers
also, putting stuff in your boot when a sub is there isnt the most intelligent thing to do..

is you sub box ported? ive heard (this might not be true) that some subs need a ported box for air flow or it just rips itself apart.
try taking it back under warrenty, just find any excuse you can

I have seen an orion h2 sub pluged into the wall YES 240v and that was a sealed box and the box split NOT the sub, so i dont think it would be a fault on the sub, its probably down to somthing in the boot.

is the crack on the plastic cone? If so you could use glue to seal it BUT dont use a glue that sets solid as it will need to be a little plyable.

just take it abck to where you bought it or contact the manufacturer, cant hurt and should of gotten a warranty. If they wont do anything try sealing it with something as mentioned above and not pounding it too hard
also you should try to figure out why its done that, to me sounds like someones poked something in it or somethings rolled in boot. But hmm the sub cones are stong is on my spl dynamics one
bad luck tbh
