Advice please :)

Evening all
Well W show season is upon us(well,me) and i'm off to Ultimate Dubs on the 14th o march

Im off next week so going to give the passat a good seeing too (ohh err missus)

Now, i'm ok with the washing(jetwash it at tesco then home to handwash with a washing mitt)

Wheels are a mess so dont bother with them

Interior's fine

The main thing it needs is a good polish,but it has some nasty scratches here and there,most are surface but 1 or 2 are a bit deeper

T-cut and a chipstick,is it worth the ballache or can anyone recommend anything else?

I plan on using some AutoGlym SRP to combat the swirl marks as its worked in the past for me

Will be hand polished mainly as i dont have an electric bugger haha

Because the person you'll be paying will probably do a damn sight better than what you're suggesting...

everything you mentioned is utter shite for your car. local jet washes are shite and use cheap soap that ruins your paint. t cut and chip sticks i would rather use sand paper.

just give it a good wash using some quality shampoo if you don't have a jew wash your better off with a strong hose down and then a good wash with a mitt and the 2 bucket method then dry if you don't have a drying towel use a few mf cloths.

after get yourself some hand glaze with a filler to fill the swirl mark's followed by a good quality wax and if your car has scratches just leave them will look a whole lot better than covered in the wank that's in chip sticks.

without buying all the correct stuff you will never get a good finish better and easier to get some one to do it that has a clue.

Seriously pay someone to do it, if it's going to be for a show.

Considering you will need like

pressure washer
machine polisher
types of polish
types of pads
clay
wax
drying towels
shampoo
prewash shit
sealant

and countless other shit, it starts getting pricey so unless you plan to fork out, take your time and make cleaning a regular hobby there is no point.

I have spent hardly anything compared to most of the guys on here and imho I'm still a complete retard as I hardly have time to even use it.
