Car(s): Saxo Furio 1.4 (work horse) Saxo VTS (if all goes

Default Vtr engine in Furio

I know the engine will fit, but can I just drop it and use the same engine loom? Guessing I'll also need to change the ECU?

The 1.4 has now started to lose quite a lot of oil,so i'm thinking for a little extra work I may as well swap the engine over.

Thanks
Andy

Thanks mate... Suppose I was just being a bit lazy.

Is the C2 VTR engine a 1.6 16V? if so what is the difference between C2 VTS / VTR

But the engine it's self is the same? Just a JP4?

So VTS wiring loom etc would fit?

Sorry about all the questions, I just assumed the C2 VTR was an 8v, never looked at them before.

VTR/VTS have a different head, valves are different sizes & valve springs are different strength or I am lead to believe.

I got my C2 VTS engine running on Saxo VTS wiring yesterday, not sure if a Saxo VTR wiring would work, but as the only difference is an extra set of valves which is mechanical & nothing to do with the electrics I suspect it will run, how good is another matter.

Buggar can't edit, but you would also have to drill the head to accept the J4 inlet manifold, I think you would also need an new exhaust manifold.
