Been doing the same with my wheels. Backs and fronts, starting with 160 grade (shitty, disintegrating) wet & dry, filled any big chunks with chemical metal and they're now primed up and ready to be painted silver at the weekend

Hardest bit is removing all the shite that's built up on the back of the rim, had to resort to a drill and assortment of wire brushes.

Yours are looking good though, would like to see pics once they're on the car.

Just get ya self some heavy duty aluminium oxide paper and hand sand them its prototype fast with same results as drill sanding

I got 4 almost new tyres with the wheels a friend of mine owns a small garage he took them of before painting and considering two of them are pirelli and two continental I'm pritty happy with the price I payed for the alloys
