Yeh Rotrex will be winter before the VAT rate increases - will aim to buy all the parts before this as effectively saves me 2.5%.
The c2 inlet bracket doesn't fit btw, it needs a hole extending, I'll get some pics when I next have a session on the car.
Standard fuel rail and external FPR in the engine bay seems to work fine

Good and bad news then lol. A bit of milling on the hole doesn't sound too bad. Fuel rail wise, I may still go for a Jenvey or similar just cos they look a bit more 'bling' than the plastic oe one.
Good call on the purchasing before the vat increase. 2.5% doesn't sound much, but when you are spending a few grand it all adds up!

Thanks
is a blessing this driving trip tbh as means I Get my arse in gear and get the car back on the road and make it reliable.
I'll get some pictures of the Be setup, should be worth the hassle once it's in. Can fit the diff with the box still in the car
Been to busy servicing/fixing the daily

Ja
It'll be standard engine with Piper cams, C2 inlet and the Be box. Should be good fun on the roads, will just miss some nice induction noise.
Fingers crossed the roads aren't too busy!

Shame wont be using the rallye box for the drive as i guess the be box is quite long. But would cost loads in fuel with rallye box on supose. Cant wait for this build to be finished.

Be box is about spot on for boost actually.
70mph is 3500rpm, 80 is 4000rpm, 90 is 4500rpm, 100 is 5000rpm. Will top out at 154mph with a 7800 limiter - you don't need to go faster than that in a Saxo !
66mph with a 7800 limiter in 2nd
Max speed in each gear with a 7800 limiter.
1st - 36mph
2nd - 66mph
3rd - 95mph
4th - 129mph
5th - 154mph

this should be interesting to see once everything is installed .
Rotrex are solid chargers mate so you should be fine with one of those .
what management have you gone for? and will you be looking at getting methonal injection to bring the temps down a lil since you limited the box to 7,800rpm thats ah hell of alot dude on a 1.6 lol. even though im sure you wont be raggin it to the limiter all the time .
btw ive rated yours I cant belive im the first to rate this and you have had how many replies. people should be ashamed hahaha.

Thanks for rating it
I'll be running the Predator setup, I've already got it and ran it with bodies and am happy with it so no worries using it for boost. It's got an onboard 2.5Bar map sensor that I'm using and seems to work spot on! Currently running the car with the c2 inlet, standard engine, cams and the 65lb injectors just to get a map built up ready for the engine rebuild and running the engine in.
I won't need methanol injection (well I hope so !!), the intake temps with a rotrex s/c'er seem to be lower than turbo's plus I've got a fairly big intercooler so should be fine I hope. I'm not running a rear wiper so could rig up the rear washer jet to a nozzle on the intercooler to keep it cool - who knows if it'll need it
lol 7800 is a high limit. I'm planning on running like a 7k rpm limit, with the charger at max warrantied rpm at that point. Then when it's out of warranty/seems reliable, I'll get it mapped to 7600/7800 and overspin the charger. Just means the charger should have a bit of grunt lower down.
My balls aren't big enough to be hitting 7800 a lot. I tend to drive the car pretty sedately most of the time with the odd burst. It'll have forged rods and pistons, so would just be the hydro followers limiting it.
It also depends on how the cams produce their power - they looked to be sloping off around the 7500 mark'ish when on TB's so this will probably dictate the ultimate rev limit.

wish my cams droped off at 7.5k maybe i could see more power!! but mine seem to want to keep climbing all the way to 7.7k til the soft limiter kick in... so if that wasnt there would still be going up!!
i cant wait for this to come together.... should be a quick... some day i want to go to supercharger as it allround the best really.... but then i just think i can lose the noise of bodies and i want to see what i can do with n/a engine.
your old bodies did sound soo nice at FCS....
let see some more updates and pictures... get that money tree growing and supercharger on and working

Never heard of anyone running methanol injection. A few run charge coolers (water cooled) but with a decent cooler there should be no need.

wont need methanol with a supercharger, i never once had my intake temp more than 8-10oc above ambient temp on the hottest days, the pace/ gmc cooler works a treat when the car is moving most of the time the temp was lower than ambient.

I'll grab a load of pictures over the next few days showing the engine bay as it is now.
Yeh, fingers crossed the cams are good for boost - only time will tell I suppose!! Excited about getting it together though !!

Yeh, it should be okay if I don't overspin the charger a large amount. Aslong as you don't overspin the charger a huge amount then inlet temps will stay fine

that's good to hear, with a big enough intercooler it should be fine !
