As some fo you may know i used to have a posi blue flat arch. But that was sold for my new vtr.
I bought the R reg car with 60K on the clock for 1350. I bought it in april and had been garaged since xmas. This is what it looked like when i got it:
So now the mods started. After having it a few weeks the standard backbox was rattling and on further inspection it had seen better days tbh. So I went for a Supersprint Race section and back box from Kam.
This went on without any trouble, and a few weeks after i kept on with the breathing mods with a Raceland Induction with Green Filter.
With the breathing mods started i thought i could turn my attention to other things. I had a few ££'s lying about so i invested in a GE Quickshift, and i really rate them, very easy to fit and reduce gear throw significantly.
Because of the colour of the car and being quite rare, i decided to keep the colour and go with a black / smoked theme. So instead of removing the rear badges and leaving some holes behind (Like i did with the last one

). I got the old t-cut out and gave them a quick blast, and black they are.
Now nothing much happened for a few months due to a disticnt lack of funds. But i got about fitting my alpine headunit and some uprated Fli door speakers, but still retain standard grilles, for the factory fresh look.
*Trax Prep*
After hearing about trax on here i booked my tickets and pass, and threw all plans for the car out the window. I had to get the car looking a bit respectable for trax.
Now with the purschase of some spax 40mm springs. Me and my dad went about lowering the front. Took a while to say the least but all in all it got done. But the torsion bar is a different story. One side flew out but the other was stuck in there good. So with the help of a sledge hammer and a bar of steel that one was out. Now the car was lowerd there was only a few things i could do to make the most difference to how the car looked for trax.
Finaly i added some UK legal pressed plates from Dubmiester and it was ready to go.
Just to point out, this car has been done on a shoe string budget because of me only being a part timer. And all the work on the car was carried out by me and my old man (probely seen us both at trax), From spraying to lowering, i owe him alot. The colour of the car really grows on you so if you dont like it tough.
Thanks for reading,
Bye for now
Sam
