Default Crimson mk1 - Atspeed drive in, scream out conversion.

Hi all!

The beginning

Some of you may remember me from past progress threads and shows.
But too all of those who dont know / remember me. Heres a quick run down.
98 Mk1 Vtr
74k
Rare Crimson Colour
I bought it completly standard and everything done on the car has been done by myself and Papa N on a show string budget.

I bought the car as an upgrade form my 1.4 flat arch i used to own. The colour sold the car for me as i had never seen one in this colour and am still one of the only active members on here with this colour.

How it started:

Completely standard.

Then she went down on 40mm springs and black wheels ready for Trax 2008

After trax i started focusing on making the car track ready with 250lb springs / Pugsport dampers and Group n rears. Only to find it way to hard for the predominant road use i was using it for.
So times and aims had changed, and making this a comfortable daily was the new objective.
(Many thanks go to Lee, Craig and Rushy for keeping me on track with the plans through some rough times)

On went an Apex 35mm kit, which i cannot rate highly enough for daily use. Handles superbly and is fairly comfortable over bumpy roads.

One of the best pics of my car on its standard wheels:

Recent progress has been me replacing the rear beam with a new one from ImAxles

Old vs New

New beam and polybushed rear end:

And the new wheels as many would of seen at FCS

And apart from keeping it as clean as i possible can theres not much more progress. (well there are little bits)

On with the pics then:

Citroen Sport Badges

Smooth boot trim

Dwarfed By the work vans

Playing with the big boys

Carbon Caps

FCS Pics

Future plans involve Willwood / GTI Leather / New bumpers

Thanks for looking guys, all comments very welcome. Ill try and keep this updated with some good updates this time.

Sam
