Sorry for the delay lol
PC studio suite was being a muppet last night and wasnt recognising my phone so naturally i threw a paddy and went for a few pints lol.
More composed tonight ive reinstalled it and job seems to be a gudden.
Anyway:
Went to pick up the Engine yesterday afternoon from Cylinder Rebores who did the work.
As a quick summary they've changed all my bearings and seals, and pistons rings etc from the bottom end. The whole lot was cleaned up and cleared out of any old oil residue.
Bores glazebreaked to leave them immaculately smooth again.
Sump was resealed.
Head placed on bottom end with new head gasket kit and all the timing was re-setup with new cambelt and pulleys and vernier pulleys, also new water pump.
As they were cleaning the whole thing up 100% the did say that my nice paintwork would probably lose a fair bit during the clean as if any small residue of muck left would cause it to come off- fair enough i prepared for that and knew that id have to paint again, but at least on a perfectly clean surface
The mrs's Mum was on hand to lend me her trailer and kart the engine back.
Jaybiss also made an appearance to lend a hand

good lad.
After getting the engine home and on the engine stand this is how it looked:
As you can see it had lost alot of the paint that id applied.
Im still scared stiff by the thought of it just being held up by 4 bolts, theyre not very think either, but must be strong as hell.
Going to find something else i can put underneath for extra support i think, especially when working on it and putting pressure on tightening other bolts.
Anyway out came the paintbrush again to re-do the bottom end.
Tomorrow afternoon after ive helped lower Teebags car im intending on doing the following (prepare for a mass of pics tomorrow, posted after Top Gear)
Give bottom end a final coat of Hammerite
Do the cam covers a bit more to enhance the polished look
Spark plugs have arrived so may fit those in and coilpack
Put together the thermostat housing with 82degree thermostat (should run nicely and a bit cooler than the 89degree one) All new parts and seals for that.
Fit alternator brackets ready for new alternator.
Start fitting the oil filter and some of the coolant system
