Apple iPod n00b
Quick question people, fancy buying an ipod as ive advanced my reading skills and finish the paper halfway through the train journey to work, and then have to amuse myself by other means. Only looking for something simple, smallest capacity but has to have the colour screen. Anyone know the best place to buy one?
What i need to know is, say i have an album on a CD can i copy them onto the ipod via itunes or whatever?
or do i need to buy them all again via itunes?
Gracias...

Get an Ipod Nano........Pick them up for around 90quid in argos......
I got the silver one which is like 2gb and I got 600 songs on mine......
You just upload the CD via itunes and it saves it to your computer and then when you connect your ipod...you just click sync ipod and it adds all the checked songs to your ipod....even technophobe me can work it

Yeah;
puts it into a folder in My Music\ITunes something along those lines.
With copied CD's though you may get a few "Unknown artist"'s though; but you can edit these manually.

Yeh, they will alll be saved in your documents....so in itunes just go to File-Import-My Documents-song.
Then it will be in your itunes library....when u finished adding all the songs...just make sure you either go to File - Sync Robbs Ipod. Or update ipod in the ipod menu on itunes

I bought the iPod video,
the video funtion is silly hard to use, you need a convertor.
I'd go for the 4gb, 600 songs is easily filled.

I got my iPod whilst I didn't have a PC at home, so I had to keep going down my Mum's house to loads stuff on to it.... now I have a Laptop at home.
Is there a way that I can transfer the iTunes from my Mum's PC to my Laptop?? iTunes keeps telling me that Only one iTunes can be asigned to each iPod, so delete the old one and load up new one on the laptop..... but this will lose all my songs won't it????
Cheers for any help.
Chris
