It already is like a new car isn't it? LOL.
I wonder if anything still exists on that from when you bought it apart from dash and engine.

Doubtful, i think im just going to take my time on the engine itself over summer and enjoy the car and then when the show seasons over and the poor weather returns then the Saxo will be garaged and undergoing work.
Ill have the engine finished fairly quick but in terms of fitting it ill probably wait until end of the year-reason being:
Tax runs out 30th November and Insurance renews 4th December so ill get my extra No claims then, cancel insurance and declare it SORN
Then ill run a cheap car for a few months and have the Saxo back on the road by March when ill have an extra years age and years driving experience behind me so that my insurance wont be too drastic when it all restarts.
Its costing alot of money so its not a project i can afford to rush through, nor do i want to feel pressured by time limits to an extent
Itll be well worth the wait

Very good plan Matt, least it will be all sorted for next years show season.
Can't you just use your Mum/Dads car for the few months that yours will be off road?

Yep well in time for next years show season I probably could use parents cars a bit and the Mrs didnt mind driving me much whilst i was having the respray done.
It depends a bit on the job situation, if ive got into the Police force by then ill be on my training which ill need to travel 40 miles a day round trip. but if im still in the same job its not too bad walking or biking.
