I certainly feel like massive progress has been made today
Im just trying to figure out now where all the different hoses go.
I have the obvious ones like the one that comes off the end of the thermostat housing. And the one that comes off the back of the water outlet pipe to the radiator.
Im sure theres a pipe that joins off the bottom of the thermostat housing and joins onto the side of the water outlet tank but i dont have this pipe and cant find it on citroen parts diagrams which is odd. Hoping someone can shed some light on this.
Also with the pipe coming off the fuel line i dont know where they go yet and some of the ones that will feed into the induction kit/pipes

Josh im hoping to can advise me on this when you see it.
How much of the parts on the bottom right of this pic do i need to have as im guessing some will be redundant with a procomp fitted.
Let me know so i can order some bits again soon

Just got your text buddy,
Right this a bit of a weird one, pic looks like it should be for oil level dip, it then indicates it going into the side of the head - mine was blocked off - i think this is part of the confusion, mark one and mark 2 engines being slightly different.
Check the hole in the side of the head, rear cam cover area, where number 5 on the diagram is going into the head, if its blocked off then just use an oil level dip. Dials on a vts show's you oil level when you first turn ignition anyway
Number 8 you wont need as that goes back into induction kit, need to run this into a catch tank or back into the induction system - catch tank would be best if your tracking a fair bit.
Alternator why not keep this one untill it dies? Cant see why reason not to keep it if it works? Save the peenies put it towards ecu / mapping mate!!!
Any Questions give me a buzz, really coming on now. Take it the seals fitted ok? havent used them myself as didnt need to

Tricky one really and slightly confusing tbh.
Ill get out all my hoses and everything else thats left tomorrow and trial fit it back on to see whats what i think, plenty of bits still looking lonely in the box.
When are you back local again next? might be worth coming to have a look if you can and seeing whats what

Perfect thats one bit solved got that bit sitting in my passenger footwell lol.
Have you got a pic from the back of the pipe that comes from the back of the thermostat housing and i assume goes round the back and into the water outlet tank?

On this green tank the big bit obviously runs round the front to the radiator.
With the little bit thats facing towards the flywheel side of the engine does it join onto:
That bit that looks like the same shape connection on the bottom of the thermostat housing??
Its clearly a rubber hose based on the only original pic that i have so hoping someone can clarify if im right in thinking as i cant find that hose atall on citroen diagrams

I honestly cant remember, but will have my car back this weekend apparently so if i do you could always pop over at the weekend, or when i'm on my way home i'll come see you if your free and i feel like a drive
EDIT
from my pics it looks like it goes round towards the back of the engine so i think your thinking along the right lines, its at the back of the engine so i doubt i have any pics but i'll have a look

Awesome willsy!
Have you considered polishing the alternator? A time consuming BITCH of a job but a mint touch.
If not this one then buy a new one and spend time polishing the new one so when this one goes you've got a nice polished one too go on!
Go on....
