Battery Light stays on with ignition off!! :(
When the car's ignition is off and the key is out the ignition, my battery light stays on, enabling electric windows to operate and headlights to work. battery is also going flat over night, I took the car to the local garage, they fitted a new alternator and it didnt work, so they re-fitted the old one. Charging rate checked and is ok. They claim to have checked all fuses and relay's. they said they have checked the ignition switch and it did not rectify,
Am i faced with a heavy Citreon main dealers diognostics bill of 160 pounds or can this be a symptom of a common fault?

See my post in the other thread. Also, pull out the HU, is it one of those proper hashed ones with the wires manually connected, rather than having a proper block connector coversion?

The stereo has indeed been fitted correctly, with correct multiplugs, although will take a look for pinched wires. In responce to the Ignition switch, Im goin to remove the multiplug from the back of the ignition switch, if the light goes out then Bingo its the switch, fingures crossed
