Nope not the rubber joint
106 meet this Sunday? Ahh bugger. Id forgotten when it was. Terry's asked me to give him a hand on friday and sunday this week shifting loads more stuff from the garages- quicker thats done the quicker we can get in there.
Tuesday 22nd January
Flymo is dying a horrible death now, theres no point me really putting in any effort to fix it with only a week to go until it comes out anyway.
It is sad to see a decline after its been so reliable
Started off when cold it started up first time every time, but by the time ive done a few junctions and stopped again the engines cut out. Starts up again and then runs fine all the way home (weird?)
The next stage of decline came this morning. Ive sat in a carpark for 5 minutes trying to start her up, sounding as rough as Adsayer after a nights binge at Trax, with the engine management light flashing away.
Once started though its ran fine all the way home. The last bit has only happened twice in 3 days.
Will it survive until the end of the month?.............

Pretty sure that my problems are Fuel related. Perhaps a blockage in the system somewhere.
Ive quickened up the idle speed to keep things running a little quicker when coming to a standstill at junctions.
And ive also given it a good blast to try and clear it out.
Its better, but still not right

No worries, as you say earlier were in the garage the better!
And do what sam sam says, run it on beer and film it die Lol
only problems with no toeing eyes is if your on track and bin it they wont be worried about wrapping round anywhere they can - your not supposed to get out the car so you exactly tell them where to tie it round if its not visable Lol.
1 answer - Just dont bin it!
EDIT:- Reply to my text, cheers mate.

sounds like a problem with the coilpack mate, when mine was on the way out it would die with the engine management light on then after 10 mins i would start it up again and it would be ok.

Theres no delay with mine though
Its literally start it up, fires up first time every time
Start moving
Come to a junction (usually within the first minute or 2 of the car being started)
Slow down approaching junction, almost to a stop
Engine revs die off, engine cuts out
Turn the key immediately
Away i go without any further problems.
Very strange, it happens consistently at certain points of my journey to and from work. I now even know when its likely to cut out lol
.................................................. ...........................
On the plus point of today:
Catch tank has arrived
SFS yellow silicone coolant hoses have arrived.

Today flymo has revived herself. No cutting out or anything today. Maybe it was a blockage that needed shifting? who knows, only tomorrow will tell
Countdown: 8 days to go
