Radiator/coolant hoses are from SFS stick a search for them in google and theyre first on the list Reasonably priced and quick to process the order
The 16v bit on the intake manifold i rubbed the faded silver paint off using some light wet and dry then ive got a touchup pen in the same colour as the car. A few coats of that and then using a lacquer toughup paint applied that on top.
Easy to do, gotta take your time with a steady hand though
Strut brace will probably go on last. Would just restrict movement and access to other areas at the moment but it will be going back on

Monday 11th Feb
Oooh so close today!
A few things that needed doing today were:
Connect the fuel lines which we got sorted fairly easily in the end
Connect the exhaust to the manifold, this was a little tricky as the exhaust wasnt connected properly from previous fitting at the joints
We had to heat the joints and whack them apart with a hammer.
Surprisingly the BTB exhaust and the BTB manifold are a pretty odd fit, very sketchy indeed where they join and they will not sit flush together but that can be rectified later.
Then the KMS ecu with the wideband had to be connected up, as usual nothings straight forward, instructions are shockingly poor standard and i wouldnt give any form of positive feedback on that.
The adaptor loom is plugged into the engine loom and the ECU into the adaptor loom. Then from that the lambda sensor is connected.
Then theres multiply anomolies within the rest of the wiring, there are 2 random plugs left which appear to go absolutely nowhere and do not fit together, these are black with a yellow rubber sealed bit and a red connection end.
Theres also another bit or wiring off the adaptor loom which is cut and taped over, does this go anywhere? who knows, hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Also there is not enough wiring cable from the ECu to the wideband display to even get anywhere near through the bulkhead let alone anywhere near the dash for mounting.
.................................................. ................
Despite this we went ahead and connected as much as humanly possible, poured the oil in, filled up the radiator and turned the key!
There was life! engine was turning but as the battery was flat it wouldnt burst into life. Its been left to charge overnight now and hopefully in the morning we might have liftoff!
On the instrument panel the orange light was flashing aswek with the key symbol. Ive got no idea why that wouldnt be flashing as we have been nowhere near any of the key, transponder or any of that system. What could be the cause of this?

Aha hopefully thats just the case aswel then my keys flashed before and then started.
Think i still need to let the fuel pump whiz a bit more fuel round the pipes aswel, did the priming a couple of times before turning they key but may need more as the pipes would be largely dry.
We'll soon see in the morning with a fully charged battery anyway 10 hours to go!
