Looks like a jig job, the engine looks shoved out of place, so hard to see how much damage has actually been caused

Yep it is a jig job but apparently jigging it cost a ton of money so thats out of the question. I'm taking everything off (engine in honesty is fine getting a bloke I know to remove it and selling it off) alot of hassle which shall *hopefully* be worth it.

cheers mate
I honestly didnt think it looked too bad, but a little damage cost a ton... remember the car went up then landed down onto the barrier (horrible experience) airbag apparently would cost the most stupidthing that saved my life! lol

Ignore that... now with my 1.1i X red 98 reg saxo, loving her.. but dont have the same feeling for the old one.. strange I suppose got the feeling that its just a car now. But still looking after the car and cleaning her way too much, had it for a week now everything going fine and an exhaust which has done about 500 miles... horrible tinny bedding in noise again!
But most of all NO MORE WHIPLASH

Blimey mate thats pretty bad too!
Definately a write off though, 65% of the cars value would be a Cat D for uneconomical repair anyway!
Atleast you're ok mateyyy...
Most places don't replace airbags now, as its so expensive - Would be cheaper to put an aftermarket wheel on if you repaired yourself, just means you'd have no airbag!

Cat D is uneconomical Repair I think.
Cat A and B are Totally beyond safe repair, and unsure of what Cat C is.

best thing to do is take it to a few garages mate.. if they can give u a quote for repairs which suits you, then get it back on the road.. if not then you could take everything apart and sell each item

oh and i think cat D is write off.. not 100% tho.. but i went to look at a car last year. i found out it had cat C damage. they said id have to inform the police before its back on the road. if it was cat d it would have been unsafe to drive..
cant quote me tho as i say not 100%
google it
