Cheers mate, well the basics are:

Bottom end fully stripped down and rebuilt with new internals (bearings etc)
Head stripped down, skimmed + a bit of other light headwork which QEP did. New valves, seats, catcam 708's and followers
Procomp induction
BTB 4-1 manifold
BTB exhaust
Standalone Hydra engine management (First one made, it is now available for others to buy if anyone is interested)
Its been mapped on BP Ultimate fuel aswel rather than normal unleaded.
Larger injectors
3.5bar fuel pressure regulator

I think thats about everything in brief

i always thought that the 3.5 fpr was too big? sure i read it, standard is 3 i think?

headwork seems to of helped the higher bhp good figures i must say, take it your enjoying it?

why did you go larger injectors? and what did you go for? any reason you went for them?

3bar is standard on most VTS that i found. I think the 3.5bar oddly comes from the VTR

I think the main help for the good figures is the quality of the ECU and the map. Ive not come across anyone whos spent so much time perfecting a map, the idle in particular is smooth as silk.

I definately need to enjoy a bit and not do anything major for a while, spent far too much money and spent too long without a car this year

When i was building the engine i did wonder about injectors, so i called GMC who, to cut a long story short, said that standard injectors will be fine up until after 170ish bhp. Eventually looking to put bodies on it so i thought id get the injectors out the way now

GMC supplied them, im unsure of the type but heres a pic, pretty big difference in size and i had to modify the fuel rail to get them in

yep 3 comes in the vts as standard, and as Matt said 3.5 comes on the 1.4's and vtrs.

Im running a 4.5bar on mine with larger injectors

Hydra ECU available to others to buy

Work on mine is now complete!

The ECU is now available to others to buy.

It is compatable with any setup, standard, light engine mods, cammed, TB'ed, supercharged, turbo'd etc etc

It is a very tidy system and there is no obscene wires, no cutting of your loom.

It falls roughly in line with quotes that ive previously had for KMS or Omex systems at £1650 which is the ecu, fitted, mapped and inclusive of VAT with no hidden extras.

Rest assured that this isnt a cheap cost cutting alternative ECU, the company who have developed it deal with Omex and have been unimpressed by KMS before and have made this possible to be a hassle free direct challenge to their capability coupled with a such a highly experienced bloke to map it

If anyone requires more info about it i can pass on the necessary details, and if anyone wishes to see what mine is like too you're more than welcome.
