Predator_vtr, ive never tried going over it first with a watering can does that make much of a difference?
Thanks

"Sheeting" is amazing, highly recommend it. You don't have to use a watering can, just set your hose attachment to dribble out in a slow, thick manner and sheet the water down your car starting from the top. It prevents water spots as there are no spots if you've sheeted it properly.
Check this vid for an example of water sheeting - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=myG7hcb09KE

i just put mine on a 30 wash with no detergent or anything, has lasted me a very long time, about 2 years i think now still works as well as when it was new
And yes try the sheeting the water off technique with the watering can or gentle flow on the hose, tbh i find the watering can better

Hmmm nope. leather are crap im afraid they still induce swirl marks, the towel is softer and there is less chance of scratching the paintowrk if there is any grit left on paint after rinsing

ahh untrue.
if you use a water blade to get most of the water off it then follow it by a GOOD quality leather (spread the leather out for maximum effect and so it leaves no marks) the results are perfect, no swirl marks/water marks whatsoever.

That is actually untrue lol....
Why do top detailers not use leather....for the reasons pred posted, they don't make things up when their at the top of their game mate. Look at any thread on 'detailing world' or another good quality detailing site and no-one uses leather. You might use it on yours and swirls might not be clearly shown but they will be there. I mean we are talking perfection when detaling a Gallado or Zonda but using leather just does not go. Either drying towels, leaf blower (main method of drying) and sheeting are the best ways no matter what anyone says .
By all means keep using leather as its not 'too' bad but its no where near better than drying towels .

my dads mate used to take his noble down to a professional valeter and they used leathers and water blades, but obv there's would have been like mega top quality and they machine polish the car/wax afterwards, but as its not professional i do agree now about using drying towels. if you aint gonna machine polish it and wax it to get rid of the swirls.
