well the sprayings not really the problem. apparently its such a pain to weld up the bonnet becuase you have to cut a metal plate into shape and weld it on without it distorting the flimsy french bonnet, then roll the edges

im sure there is a fibre glass bad boy bonnet mate ? though with fibre glass spraying can be a pain , i had a mk 1 cortina gt yonks ago with afew light weight fibre glass panels on it in eventually the paint cracked in places nothing major but still not nice to look at , to be honest that bonnet sounds like hassle mate ( without putting you off )

yeah you can get a fibreglass one off ebay for £140, but it looks like this which im not too keen about. dont like how curvy the bit over the grill is. prefer it to be a bit more angled like the previous pics, so it sort of looks a bit like a 106 bonnet
im swaying towards leaving it standard though. £300 is so much to spend on just a bonnet lol

yeah that photo persuaded me to do it, best looking mk1 ive seen. Unfortunatly every bodyshop ive been to have shit themselves thinking of the work involved and the cheapest ive been quoted was £300 fuck that lol
im thinking i might sell on the morettes, dont think they really suit the car

well.... havent been here for a while
my driveshaft was fubar'd so i swapped that
and then my handbrake cable came loose and was making a horrible rubbing noise so i sorted that out
then i sprayed up the morettes matt black. the grill wasnt sprayed properly as im deciding whether to have it black or silver
then one day i was behind another fellow saxo driver when i couldnt help notice i could see his rusty spare wheel & cage, so i painted my spare wheel & wheel cage matt black
and used megs endurance tyre gel on the spare
and this is a random pic of my sub with the new alpine amp im considering getting rid of the stealth shelf with jbl speakers, and putting co-axials in the rear door cards
