Talking Polishing Too Much ???? (Sorry)

Alright,

Im keen to keep my Saxo spotless , i spend most of saturday and sunday, cleaning things and polishing the hell out of it.
I know this has probably been asked thousands of time, and i have searched for it, but can you polish the body work too much ????

thanks scott

yes you can polish it to much. If your using something like AG SR, you shouldnt be doing it everytime you wash the car!

Its fine to wax regulary, and use some quick detailer after every wash though

as above mate you dont need to polish all the time, i polish a few times a year. All you need to do is keep a good coat of wax on it to keep the car spotless.

Most of the time though i just wash the car (2 bucket method), dry using miracle drying towel and use meguiars final touch detailing spray and as a perfectionist i can honestly say it looks very good.

any dodojuce wax or colinite wax i would go for dodo soft wax gives the best shine and use the lime prime before waxing with red mist over the top of the wax and inbetween waxing.
hears a few links just to be helpfull.

The auto glym show shine is prety crap really.

For a descent wax you have to take the colour of the car.

Good makes are things like,

Dodo juice,

swisswax,

victoria wax,

collonite etc

Have a look on monzas' website or clean your car for more details

meguiars do something called ultimate quick wax, that gives a reallly good finish and takes a few minutes to do the whole car.

Polishing by hand you can polish loads, tbh it wont remove many microns, machine polishing will thats why detailers use a paint depth gauge and try to remove as little microns of the paint as possible to get rid of any scratchs etc
