Also have you considered putting some sort of sound dampening material on the insides of the box? either the foam thats shaped like egg boxes or acoustic wadding?
Just a thought as my old auto acoustics stealth box had it in and it made a hell of a difference when I took it out to put in a new box, stopped alot of the resonance of panels and gave cleaner bass!
oh another idea if the back and front of the box are exactly parralel to each other then the sound waves bounce straight back at the subs dunno how you'd change that now though, thats why most pre built boxes have a sloped back or sloped front.

the weakest parts of a wall are the front and rear panels and the front you have the subs mounted in and the rear you have the subs loading off the extre bracing ive put on the back seems to have done the job stoping the the rear of the box flexing.
the sides are 2x 18mm mdf with 2x3 and m10 threaded bar then ive got the loft insulation packed very tightly down the sides. the top is 3x 18mm mdf then loft insulation packed very tightly again then the bottom is 2x 18mm mdf and bolted to the floor
i doubt i have much flex on thos panels. problem with putting bracing from top to bottom and more side to side is i cant use threaded bar as theres no room to put them in and do them up and if i used 2x3 ect its going to raise the tuning
only real plus side with sound dampening the inside of the box is sealing it better but ive just painted the inside with pva and thats sealed it and more stuff in the box would raise the tuning. doubt putting wadding in the box would last to long as it would get shot out the ports lol
not to sure about the slope thing on prefabed boxes i always thought that was just so that sit against the rear seats better i no the rear of my box will be helping the subs control better as thay load of the back off the box
