its also performance and reputation i know that. but the 1.4 would be alot cheaper that the 1.8 i know that without even needing to check.

great cars just very temperamental, check for rebuild dates for the charger and who has done it (g-werks i think they are called are meant to be best), check for overheating problems which were common on the G engines i believe.
High insurance for them too, hard to find clean well looked after ones and if you do they're pretty dear, but with a little work they're really quite beasty.

Nope. It's based on performance, reputation and safety, hence why a 1.6 Saxo is quite pricey to insure

I owned a minter for about 3 years. Was a member on clubg40 forums. There are a few things to look out for if purchasing one. PM me if you want some details.

There nice little cars, but finding one in good nick for cheap is easier said then done. Best bet is to ask the club polo guys, quite a few of them with minters on there.

beat me to it...... i was gunna say there a supercharged 1.3 not 1.4, there ok but it's like any small engined car that's turbo'd or supercharged, engines like butter, although this engine is alot stronger than a Renault 5 Turbo's 1.4....
But 5 Turbos are the shizzle especially the Raider versions

my brother owns one and they are more reliable than people think, its amazing how much power a supercharger on a 1300 can make, the fastest in the uk does a 1/4 mile in 12.5 seconds which is petty feckin fast! i wouldnt slate them until you have drivin or been in one you'll be quite suprised .
