Get a set of racing pads for, er, racing! And get a set of normal ones for the road. Simples...

re toads suggestion. Surely swapping pads though wouldnt be the best due to the way they 'bed in' to the disc, so therefore the disc nature would change slightly from using one to the other and you would have to be wary again..
although off 3 hours sleep I have a feeling im rambling for no real reason today

Was £35 for 3 runs at austec in Crawley. Although the Sayer only got one run for some reason!
(Maybe they thought his hair was too wild lol)

Raceland + Magnex is what I have, but no silencers and it sounds lovely. its a bit tinny, but agressive.
good figures

naa man... I want to be consistent with the power runs I do. There is so much variance when it comes to different rollers across the county so if im going to make modifications and want to see whether I've improved the figure or not then I need to really be returning to the same rollers

it was £35 exc. VAT so £40.30 or something in total... I was a bit cheesed that they only took the one run and didn't even bother checking the AFR (which I was keen to see). fuckers.

they said because it was making the same as before then there was no point. yet the torque was 6lbft higher and the wheel power was 5.2hp higher... silly conversion factors

well my girlfriend has described it as 'non-chavvy', 'quite meaty', 'throaty', 'not loud' and 'doesn't sound like a Micra'

True that to both of you guys, tinny yes, but seems to sound ok above 4k, at idle it sounds like a diesel.

Couldn't find my graph anywhere but from the thread results ...

Mine was ~
132 BHP @ Fly
97 BHP @ Wheel
108 lb/ft Torque
Max Torque - 6100 RPM/ 92 MPH
Max BHP - 7405 RPM/ 112 MPH
|
Why do you think?

naaaa it's just the gauge of steel that the manifold is made out of it tiny so it resonates quite badly which is why it sounds crrrrrrapppp lol

ooo errr i was expecting the max attained rpm figure to be a lot lower... Now this is what happened with mine the first time round... they didn't calibrate the rpm correctly the first time round on mine either... smacked the limiter at an apparent 7450rpm on mine at 111mph (when we know the limit kicks in at 7250rpm)... so my first run is garbage to be honest - what this means is the hp figures are higher than they actually are This time round, it hit the limiter at an apparent 7300 (so only 50rpm out) so the figure is a lot more closer to the actually figure been outputted to the engine. What this means is my gains are more than it appears which is cool.
Does your de-cat have a faux box where the cat would normally be? the cat box itself also aided Engine Exhaust pulse tuning, without it your torque profile gets altered (usually for the worse) which was why I was thinking it was a bit low considering the other mods you had done.
