They come with a rev limiter standard

Do you mean make it higher?

If so then there is no point, as there wont be hardly any power after about 6700k revs

lol? every car has a rev limiter. Its the ecu. If u want a higher rev limit... then its standalone managment.. but unless youve cam'ed your car.. no need to raise the rev limit because the powerband drops off before the limiter..

Pretty much what i said

And you dont need a standalone to raise the rev limiter. Can be done with a remap as far as i know.

my limiter is at 7800, but as mentioned there is no point raising your limiter if your on a standard profile cam as the power band is at different RPMS

Why would you want to?

The standard one is there to stop you damaging things, take it off or make it higher and you will most likely damage your engine.

OMEX do launch control, do you mean that?

Omex do limiters and shift lights. Mainly for cars with a dizy and carbs, i.e no standard limiter

i will be getting an Omex Rev limiter soon, with launch control.

Basically you can set the redline to where you want ( 2k - 7k etc)

Launch control just basically keeps the revs at a set limit on full throttle while the button is pressed, so approx 3.5-4k on my saxo.

Also when you hit the limiter it cuts the spark instead of the fuel so you get a nice bit of pop bang

Not really that expensive, but i will be getting my hands on one.

As for fitting, im sure i got quoted aprox £50 from an auto electricians

the saxo rev limit is controlled by the ecu. you'd only need 1 of them if you fitted carbs.

still wont work with bodies, as you would need standalone ecu.

you can only use 1 of them when the ecu does not control the rev limit, with carbs.

hmmm well i spoke to omex and they said you could

Could email them again and find out the crack....

Still unsure if i want to run standalone with boddies, need to find out the crack with wayne first as it may be better to just get a predator ECU

predator is a standalone, wayne doesnt want to give any info out. phoned him twice and wont give me any info on it.

your ecu controls the rev limit.
it will work on any ENGINE, but that depends on what you have controlling the engine, in your case an ecu controls the engine. and unless your fitting carbs that is useless to you.
