Default Citroen Saxo 1.1i SX In Calypso Green Progress Thread!

Okay after me making numerous threads asking for help and information i though i would finally start my own progress thread seeing as my car.. horrible as it looks.. needs alot done to it.

Just as a side note, anyone that lives around my area is free to come and help me sort out this car such as installing.
Im trying not to sound lazy here but in not much of a petrolhead so i dont have that much knowledge about cars.

Purchased the Citroen Saxo for £500 from a family friend with nearly 86k on the clock.
They gave me back £50 to change the rear tyres (( Getting close to 1.6mm )).

So as you can see from these pictures the car looks pretty bare.
They were kind enough to get it proffesionally polished and cleaned for me before giving it to me so that saved alot of time.

As soon as i got the beast i set off to work on attempting to make it look slightly better.

First things first i replaced the side indicator which got smashed off in an unfortunate reversing accident.. and T-Cut the rear badges.
I also debadged the SX off.

Gave the trim a good polish with some "Back 2 Black" and got rid of a few dirt marks around the badges off with a cotton bud.

Thats all i got so far seeing as i've only officially had the car a day or two so more will be coming, stay tuned peeps!

Just ordered some smoke tinting spray so the lights will be done in a few days, was seriously in need of some alloys but confused as to how i go about it... (( Go to a garage and be like FIT THEM PLEASE!! ))

Maybe taking off the front chevrons and putting mesh in there.

Not 100% sure, do the hub cabs just pull off or are they secured in some way?

there is a few different sets of 3 stud alloys available.... you even get multi-spokes which look pretty decent...

personally id go for the raceland 5 spokes

Aye it'll be a 3 stud unfortunatly! This is what you should do IMO.

1. MK2 rear lights to freshen the rear end up.
2. Dewiper.
3. Colour coded wing mirrors
4. Smaller ariel
5. Get all the bump strips, door handles, grill and bootlid lip colour coded.
6. Some nice 15" alloys (3 stud, and yes it can be done!)
7. 50mm lowering springs for the front, torsion bar adjusted to match
8. Clear side repeaters.

Then your onto a smart looking car. All that can be easily done for way less than your budget.
