Just changed clutch. Bolts i don't know where they go????
Hi guys.
Just changed my clutch on my quicksilver, and theres a couple of bolts left over.
4 gear box bolts, i have 1 left. The 3 i've fitted are: x2 at the top of the gearbox, x1 at the front/bottom of the gearbox.
Where does the 4th one go???
Theres a long bolt attached to a wire comming from the battery neautral wire.
Any ideas where that goes? Starter motor?

yeh when i did mine, i sure there was one in the starter motor,
and yeh there is a nut that holds the wires on, make sure thats tight, otherwise, your car will keep cutting out like mine did (A)

no problem mate, hmm, i will go and have a look at mine, and then get back to you mate,
but theres 2 underneith , because the gear box fits over two lugs on the bell houseing,
and two on the top iirc

Two over the top, one at the bottom near the crank sensor, and then one round the back near the diff/gear selectors mate

the othe goes underneath mate near the starter motor, your best jacking it up and gettin at it from under the car i found!
wire from neutral goes to onto the top of the gearbox i think, near where the back locating bit for the clutch cable is, it should screw in sideways?

Thanks alot for the useful replies guys!
I've managed to fit all the sensors and the car fires up.
I finally found the 4th gearbox hole running through the manifold mount.
Thanks again

Strange....because when i tightened the bolt through the manifold mount, it actually closed the gap tightly between the gearbox and engine
