Default Tips for nightclub photography

So got the new lens and I love it.

Was using the flashgun quite alot last night and although I got some really clear pictures I lost quite alot of the lighting. I got a few without flash but they didn't come out quite as I imagined.

I have uploaded a few from the night on my flickr, cba to photobucket them tonight. They are the top 6 images, the first red looking one being the non-flash example.

Any hints or tips on settings or techniques would be a MASSIVE help for the next event. PS, I want them to turn out like the ones in Ryans 5D win thread lol you have managed to capture alot of the club lighting which I lost

1st one, shutter to slow (hence the movement blur and non sharp dj), need alot more iso to get the image I did (mine was 3200 for example).

Rest 1/60 might be considered by many as way to fast to alow much ambient in.

With the d60 you will struggle like the one on the 5d as you wont have the iso performance, the club you shoot in looks fairly well lit, flash 1/4 iso 640/800 F4, and go from there adjusting and playing.

and I hope they are paying you

EG This works well for showing plenty of people having fun, and still has some light. It works fine but if you want more light then 1/60 needs to come down.

if its your first attempt i wouldnt worry to much theyre a great starting point.
