Default Your year of motorsport pics 2009

saw this idea on another forum so thought i would try it here too. basically put up your fav pics from events throughtout the year

THe first event of the year was the B.A.R.C at Silverstone, whilst i was there they had a press day for the new v10 R8 so i sneaked a few shots

My first event of the summer with a media pass at silverstone for the European drift championships and time attack

My next event was the Renault world series at Silverstone

Next up was Silverstone Classic GP where i had another media pass

Later on in the summer i headed over to Brands hatch for the first time and i was really impressed with what a great circuit it was. I went to the BMCRC event

then the for the final event of the year the BTTC at brands hatch

I cant wait for the new season to begin to be honest as it wasnt till brands hatch that i start getting shots i was happy with. The decent weather helped a bit too
Cheers

James

I did a few events this year....

February - The Sunseeker Rally

March - Bikes to get going with

And then to 4 wheels

But back to 2 for a media accredited day

Interesting weather for the first truck meeting

April - BTCC & Support

A bit of club racing

A1GP Arrived at Brands in May

and had a great support package

The May Bank Holiday saw a change of venue, out West to Combe for another media accredited day

One of the Combe Crows, about to nick someone's cheese sandwich

More club racing, the staple diet of Brands Hatch

The Masters Historic Festival - all 3 days of it

The MG Car Club hosted the Historic F1 cars as part of their package

as well as some MGs

June - Dunlop Festival

750MC - a lesson in how not to take Paddock

July - The Historic Superprix is another great meeting

The WTCC is always good for a laugh too

August - MSVR Super Saturday

It was a bit wet

ISO 3200!

More club racing - but with ex Super Tourers in tow

September - Media again for all 3 days of the DTM

BRSCC - Media again

Dunno who these two are

BTCC & Support again - October

And the Formula Vee Festival to round it all up.

The year was overshaowed by the untimely death of Henry Surtees at Brands Hatch over the WTCC Meeting. Sadly missed.

wow that is what i call a monster post lol awesome work buddy as always. thanks for adding to the thread i was getting the feeling noone else was going to post stuff.

I love the clarity of your pics especially on days where the weather is decent, you can tell you are using good quality glass.

fav pics i think are the first two dtm pics and that slow pan of the 360.

i just hope next year i can produce better work, i really only was just getting my eye at the final two events of my year at BTTC. also hopefully will have a new camera by then too (if funds allow). would be great to catch up with you (and the rest of the sax-p paps) at one of the events next season

cheers buddy,
james
