Boosting

Well, can someone explain this to me plox. I hear people getting annoyed at this all the time, and all i know is it involves 2 players sitting with eachother.. explanation?

I think its 2 players, one from each team hide together, put a tactical insertion down and the other player keeps killing him....
Racks up the kills...
Easy to spot, either keeps getting knifed or same clan tag, obviously by the same person

Or 12 people in a Domination match. Each team takes A or C then takes turns in winning B over and over for 10 minutes.

Very boring and lame imo. The top 100/200 scores on MW2 on the PSN is through boost/glitch/hack scores.

Why waste your time doing that?

No no no,the proper way to boost is to play search and destroy. if you have 11friends its easier but if not make sure you and a friend are on different teams. Hide out and make sure you have One Man Army and riot shield equipped and you get mega points

Would a 3rd person cage match do the same thing?

as in Riot shield vs sentry gun?

I 'boosted' up massive points in one of the RS challenges when somebody planted a sentry gun, it went up like 5000 for 10 seconds firing.

before you bitch, it wasnt intentional. i only looked at the challenge after the game and saw it had gone from like absorb 500 damage to 6000 damage.

Boosting is a method used in all games that involve XP.

Boosting is playing the game solely to gain the maximum amount of XP in the shortest possible time using any methods available. It usually requires 2 or more people so people organise boosting teams or setup specific games just for boosting.

Boosting normally ruins normal game play which is why it annoys people.

when i 1st got the game me mate told me go on free for all on terminal and in corner theres a place to go tactical insertion and he kills me 25 times whick brings the nuke and kills everyone then he told me do it. but did it 1ce then got boared.

also go on 3rd person cage match tactical insertion and take in turns to do head shots last point split up and find each other.

thats boosting and it spoils it like said above people on 4-10th prestige do it (mostly)not all. most matches i go in go near the glitches and there there doin it.

hate it.

Absolutely!

For the normal player, it also takes away the merit of unlocking certain emblems and titles. Such a shame...

anyone done the cold blooded boosting? actually its more of a glitch
if you shoot down a helicopter (not blow it up) an its spinning away, keep shooting it, you get silly cold blooded exp points cold blooded pro 4 in seconds lol

you'll have to get abit lucky tho as your likely to get shot a few times while tryin to take down the helicopter with a LMG
