I can well believe how good his send off will be.
I am stranded here in the North of Scotland, and I will stand at his memorial cairn for a wee while tomorrow to pay my respects.
Something I saw on a film today hit hard what had happened. If anyone has seen Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, the end where the inventors girlfriend has to tell the widowed dad that his son is not coming back - that set me off quite badly.
Mike

For all those wanting the Welsh Flag
A tiny price to pay for what I imagine will be such a memorable event for us, his family and Gavin. Gav would be proud.

I don't come here much anymore, so i'm rather shocked to find this thread, i remember reading the posts of japman throughout my time on the forum, he seemed like a genuine guy. Truely tragic!
I lost one of my best friends this time last year, and it truely is horrific, something that shocks you so deeply. It's amazing to see the amount of support that is being shown for Japman's family and loved ones. The best thing anyone can do is keep spirits high and remember him well!
RIP

Gav mate, I won't be at your funeral today, but I will be stood at the side of Loch Ness whatever weather you send us, at your memorial cairn that overlooks a peaceful, beautiful scene, thinking of you.
Why this had to happen to you no-one will ever know. You did not deserve this, neither did your nearest and dearest.
Today, you can rest in peace for all eternity knowing that there are a lot of people down here, even if they didn't know you well at all, that will miss you a lot.
For you Gav
Mike
