im still so shocked by this, cant beleive its happened, my thoughts will be with you, along with your friends and family today buddy.
i was thinking that we could maybe arrange the stand at FCS in a special way, or failing that if its not possible there, arrange a mass saxo gathering photoshoot to achieve it.

Brilliant idea James! Think that would be awesome if it can be achieved.
Anyone got any news of how the funeral went?

I know i rarely use this site anymore but after being told of the sites loss i thought it was only right to come back on.
My thoughts are with all his mates and family, and also to the guys from here who knew him and will be saying their goodbyes today.
It's never easy to lose someone you love and to lose such a top guy at a young age makes it impossible to understand why.
RIP hun xx

tragic news, i never knew Gavin but he seems like such a humble person. I was only just reading the drivers project diary recently on my local forum, and for this to happen is just unbeilevable. Hope you had a good send off Gav, RIP mate, my thoughts are with your friends and family

Just to let everybody know that the funeral went as well as a funeral can go.
It was a lovely service, with some great stories and memories of Gav from people close to him.
The turnout was just overwhelming.
It was very emotional and it was a difficult hour, but i do feel a bit better now i have said 'Goodbye' as such!
I'm sure i will always have memories of Gav and he will be sorely missed!
RIP Gav x
