Default What is this on my engine?

Got a GTi engine, I think I have two Top Rad Hoses though?

What are these in the pictures?

My guess is one is from a VTS, and the other a GTi, but I thought they were the same?

the second pic is a heat exchange oil cooler. the coolant brings the temp of the oil down. it cools it but doesnt actually make it cool, if you get me? obv oil doesnt want to be cold, but thee coolant flowing brings it to the same kind of temp which is optimum for the oil.
somethin like that. its not essential but if you have it id fit it...
