well I wouldn't want to drive a car with the tyres like that, it's plainly dangerous I feel.

In the end without a decent stretch u just cant get the car low enough to pull of a good look, hence why if u look at most the good examples of cleaned/euro saxo's there on 14's or smaller.
Front look spot on stance wise, but the rear looks terrible sits far to high n wide. I tried 195/45's on my 8's and tbh the looked the best (stretch wise), But would only allow me to lower the rear about 70mm or so. I've ran 165/50's which is a big stretch on the fronts and 185's which i find a nice stretch & stance but again wouldn't allow me to lower the rear more than around 85mm. But i think for the best i'd go for 175's on a 8 and 185's on a 9!
If ur set on keeping 195's on the rear go get some toyo's give alot better stretch.
But if im honest i reckon u'll get ALOT of stick of the police for them. The sad fact of the matter is ur driving a car which is considered to be a "boy racers" car, which is often modified etc and so gets alot of unwanted attention as it is. Just so you know aswell they ARE illegal. Alot of people say that as long as the tyre is within the arch etc then they are legal. Which is true to a certain extent but what u've got to remeber is the police can do you for what the consider a unsafe/un-roadworthy car. Them wheels look to stick out to far and the police will do u for been a danger to pedestrains, Also if u arches scrub bthe tyres at all and the police are been abit of a dick they'll do u for having unroadworthy tyres.
|
And thank you aswell, Lots of info there that i shall take in & consider, Regarding the police.. The car isnt on the road until later this year, Where the tyres may have changed etc, But as im sure you may already know this is my 3rd set of banded steels, and havent had any issues with police at all, So will see how it goes when its back on road, Thanks again tho!

Yeah I may be plainly dangerous looking to you cos you got a serious track machine, he aint going spanking around tracks and mulling into corners. It a slow moving "look at me" car.

The euro boys wouldn't be proud of the stance on your sax either in that case, you say the stance on andys is crap when you have said yourself you are "not touching or sticking out really". My sax has VTR wheels which scrubb the arches but the stance is wank.
Every euro VW or audi you see is small wheels sticking out the arches with a massive stretch on.
Euro = 95% stance and wheels
He got the three main factors for euro, low, wide and small amounts of camber. It will depend on the descression of the officers, I been pulled driving home with a full load and arches more or less rubbing and nothing was said about it.

But you can't predict what other road users will do on the roads, you may need to swerve, slam the brakes on, hit pot holes etc. regardless of how you drive.
I'm only trying to give my opinion so the op understands the risk I think he's running by having that amount of stretch.
It's his car so he can do what he wants.

i never said i had stance
my cars not euro...
stance is like perfected by mm's to get the arch and wheel perfect, its not a case of sticking WIDE wheels and strecthed tyres and voila you have stance
im sure chris and blackvtrt will tell you how many calculations went into theres

I can appreciate where your coming from, Entirely!, I know your saying its the roads and other road users etc, Yeah the stretch prob isnt best on a daily! But would you run normal fat tyres on those kinda wheels. it just wouldnt work, thats one of the main reasons im using stretch just to get the wheels to fit in the first place.

Yeh no worries - just trying to offer some advice, wouldn't like to see it written off/broken
For what it's worth, I like the look of the wheels, just think the stretch is a bit too hardcore.

Not sure about the amount of poke, mine catch the archs slightly and I have much less poke than yours on my 9's, but I'll reserve judgement till I see it in the flesh! lol
The stretch is the same as my rears were and I had no problems with mine, am now going more on the front, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
Keep up the good work! Whats the plan for the interior? Or is that top secret?

I'm by no means trying to gang up on you with the others. But i do think it's dangerous. There's a lass from our area and she's had 2 or 3 blowout's now and her tyre's are nowhere near the stretch of yours.
Plus imo it looks a little silly. I like a bit of stretch and wide wheels, but it just looks daft imo.
Danny Jay had 9s i think on his Sax and it looked stupid from the back and this is the same.
Fair play for trying to go a bit wild and that but it's just not for me.

Dude, don't take this to heart... but you're making a controversial car being as it's got such wide wheels etc. People are bound not to like it but that's the point isn't it? Daring to be different.
Do as you like with your car, it's your car. But got to accept the fact some folks won't like it. I mean you're fitting very daring wheels tbf lol.
