Mate if you have seen the way dealers "prepare" cars these days then the first thing on my list would be a DA, for green i would say, Menzerna polish as its great for the hard paint on VAG cars, some Poorboys black hole, Zaino Z2/ Z8 Finished off with Dodo juice Supernatural.

I would also use a mild clay just to remove the odd bit of contamination as you would be suprised at what you can pick up from the paintwork, hope this is of some help bud.

Danny...you have the da and the correct pads and polishes (menzerna)

What sealant do you have?? IIRC you have wet mirror finish??? That will be fine.

Wax......what do you have??? Again IIRC you have a wax for darker colours which will be fine for this.

Thats my opinion anyway lol.

Cheers guys, I havent actually laid eyes on the car yet but my old man says theres a few little swirls, he's picking it up Thursday and i'll spend next weekend on it if I get time.

James i've got dodo juice blue velvet for wax, but they do a rainforest one for green if I remember rightly? Thing is he doesnt want spend £30 on wax... Any other reasonable priced? As he wants a new wash mitt, bucket, microfibre cloths etc.

Ive got menzerna super finish, power finish and final finish. Will the final finish be ok? Least amount of cut and ive got quite abit left...

Thanks for the replies

If its only light swirls then FF should be ok, but knowing VAG paint it can be tricky lol, Blue velvet will be fin to use mate imo no pont in spending more money on more wax when in my eyes there isnt any need to.

Agree 100% with David....which Menz polishes do you have Danny?? If the final finish you have is po85rd then chances are that will not remove the swirls......you would atleast need Super Finish PO106FA.....its more abrasive so will work better for you IMO.

Sealant will be fine,

Wax will be fine,

Have fun.
