currently cleaning the car up
so far i've
removed the roof vinyls
replaced the bearings/driveshafts/brakes
bought a new grill and fitted
and overall cleaned everything up
i'll get the rest of the pictures when it stops raining

i changed the top mount bearings and just got a low mileage strut and used that for the wheel bearing as mines covered in grease aswell
got a grill on finally and on the look for some 106 mirrors + some decent brake pads n disks (looking into 1144's and maxtorq grp n's)

cool as mate. I got the 1144's on the 266mm callipers i got... Awesome... thats all there is to say about them. SO much better than the standard brakes. I have been toying wit hthe idea of 106 mirrors too. I think they'd look cool on the mk1's as the front ends are squarer so they might look in keeping with them. I've seen them on mk2's as well and the do look good on them too

i was thinking of getting bigger calipers but don't think i need them as i don;t abuse my brakes at all so really wouldn't worry about cooking them just want something i can rely on if worse comes to worse
+ cars being sold in october/november when the 3rd years NCB comes and then i'll be waiting untill i find the perfect white 106 gti then expect a mint build with the uni grant lol

i got them off tuning leader but requested a yellow stitch , think it was like 240 with frames and everything mate i love them

its not the beam lol i put the front wheel on the back by accident and it got like that after i changed my track end and didn't get it tracked
