What would be the effect ?
If you had a vts with only the following mods
Raceland induction kit
Decat
The exhaust is STD
What effect would adding a 4 2 1 manifold.
Would the car gain torque ?
Would the car gain power ?
Or would this mod have no effect at all
Has anyone done just this one mod ?

i fitted a raceland manifold and de cat pipe to standard centre and backbox and also had a raceland enclosed induction kit. made car more responsive and felt quicker driving it. also had more of a rasp to the standard noise but that got annoying so fitted a straight through magnex and sounds much better now.
it is worth doing but if you can afford to buy and back box and centre pipe as well it sounds lovely.

Related to the sound levels. My vts is running raceland green filter, raceland mani, decat and magnex. I think it was tested at 95ish db. Was a while ago when I had it tested.
Standard is 88db I think.

I felt zero difference swapping my standard manifold for a Raceland 4-2-1... any differences in power are going to be negligible in the real world imo.
You do save a fair bit of weight though - the standard cast iron manifold is a heavy bugger.

Don't have any numbers to hand mate, but it nearly crushed my ribs when i lifted the standard one off the car.
As a rough guess, I'd say the Raceland is 2/3 of the weight of the standard manifold. Can get Racelands second hand for under £100, so no harm done if you wanted to try one.

with a magnex system, i noticed it pulls nicer low down-midrange and the harder top end, it smooths out the power kicking in high in the revs so feels better low down
worth buying for the price imo
