Laptop dead - Have i lost all my itunes stuff???
Hi, basically my laptop which was synced to my iphone has died - completely! Now if i download itunes on pc and connected my iphone will it copy everything from iphone back into itunes or will it start fresh and wipe whatevers on iphone?

get the laptop Hard disk out the machine. Get an external hard disk case which takes laptop HD's, fit together. Attach to PC and now you have access to your old files.

i did think about removing hardrive, will i then have to find all the itunes stuff and import it into the new itunes install? or can i run itunes as normal off the laptop hardrive?

you can tell itunes to find the library in a location of your choice. Set it to the external drive

Either that, or copy all of the music back into the itunes library folder, then copy the itunes xml (think its now a ITL file) back into C:\Users\*Your Username*\Music\iTunes
Thats on windows 7, if XP its in C:\Documents and Settings\*Your Username*\My Music
This will make itunes think the library is the same as it was on the laptop.
