You can get the 320GB from Argos for £285 with GT5 free...OR...you can also get, the 320GB, PlayTV digital tv tuner, spare cheapy controller, and choice of 2 free (older) games...for the same price

So you get £121 worth of free stuff.. The PlayTV thing is pretty cool can watch freeview with it and it has extra channels, and you can record tv to your PS3's hard drive, pause, rewind etc etc same as Sky+

The choice of free games aint great but they have Uncharted 1 & 2 which are both definately worth getting

I'd be more inclined to get that one as Uncharted 1 & 2 should be on your 'to buy' list anyway, great games.. Spare controller is handy i suppose, and the PlayTV thing is really good

Then just buy GT5 off eBay for like 30 quid, so it's basically costing you 30 quid more than the deal you were planning, but for that extra 30 quid you're getting much more stuff

A decent one? I thought the whole point of HDMI is it is a digital connector, hence there is either an on or off connection, and it isn't degraded?

I did see the playtv things, but I've already got sky+HD in my room... I suppose i could sell it and get gt5 still?

I agree about unchartered man, i had it when i had a ps3 last year (sold it as got bored of the games out) but uncharted was an awesome game.

Cheers

Aye sell the PlayTV thing, i sold mine for like £35 on eBay new, as it wouldn't work where i live, the only tv signal i get is through sky digi!

And about the HDMI lead you can get cheap shitty ones, think a decent one is like 20-30 quid but you can get pap ones for a couple quid on eBay which will reduce quality, look for a decent quality gold plated one

Seen some in Comet for like 90 quid...who the fuck would pay that for a cable

Compare a cheap HDMI from say Asda, to one that costs around £30, then say there's no quality difference.

Or just go to Game and buy the headset/hdmi lead combo they're selling for £15, usually £30+

I think the Gadget show did a test on HDMIs and concluded that they couldn't tell the difference between expensive and cheap ones.

I think the £2 one I got from ebuyer or dabs is meant to be gold plated lol. I don't give a f*** tbh as long as I can see the picture looks pretty.

On and it's a shame you weren't getting a PS3 just before xmas, that's when the best deals seemed to be had. I swear Argos did a 320GB with 3 games for £285.
