Default Posi Blue vtr 16v * quaife atb on its way*

I've been on here a while now but never really posted much but as a few might know by reading his project thread vtcarl has sold his immaculate vtr and i've been lucky enough to be the one to get it, I've put another progress blog on a different site im on so im going to copy my main post from there other wise it will take to long to do it all out again.

my main plans with the car are keep it clean and not touch it much as its perfect atm only thing that needs doing asap is the wheels need a refurb, I cant decide between black/silver and white deff not going any stupid colours its staying smart. Hope you enjoy the read.

i got a text from my mate ste (badgersport on here) that a well known saxo was for sale, so as soon as i got the link to the thread i had to get in touch an go and view it. The previous owner has owned it since it was 16 months old and has every bit of history you could ask for, He's also done a few choice mods which have made the car so much better.

I soon fell in love with her and put a deposit down, then last friday i went down to pick her up.

spec list:

sparco upper brace
omp lower brace
206 gti 180 front brakes with red stuff pads
standard rear brakes with green stuff pads
braided lines front and back
23mm 406 master cyclinder
janspeed 4-2-1 manifold
sports cat
powerflow catback exhaust
pollybushed all round
bilstien b8 shocks
eibach 40mm front springs with rear matched
green enclosed carbon induction kit
oil catch tank
oillite bearing less rear beam with 24mm rear arb fitted
mk2 airbagged vts interior
modded track rod arm to avoid powersteering pipe
quickshift but cant remember the name
black vts wheels need a refurb as they were his winter wheels and only rattle canned.

Dont really have any plans for her apart from tidy bits and bobs up like get wheels refurbed an eventually get the stone chips on the front end sorted

now for the pictures, heres some from the previous owners project thread on saxperience

i haven't took many my self but heres the few that i have taken:

then on sunday i thought im going to treat it to a good clean so i went and got some new goodies

then after a good clean and polish

abit of a random pic but i like it for some reason

tbh the more i think about it the more white is winning i know silver looks good on it but i think white would be a nice change, my mrs has a gold vtr with all the smoked bits on, jewel rear lights, smoked fronts ect an as good as it looks i want the two cars to look different, ill do another progress thread for her car inabit aswell.

cheers fcor the nice comments anyways guys

Sound mate ill text you before i come round.

After a chat with badgersport tonite the wheels will be getting refurbed in the brightest silver i can get and maybe a flake put in them to make them really sparkle when clean, i will also be lowering the back another 10mm just to get rid of the arch gap because as much as i love how it is, its really been eating at me more and more knowing the back looks so much higher,

Lol. Yours is a nice car, but if your not 100% happy I suppose you may aswell get bits done.
Dan if your going to lower the rear some more you may as well grease the oillite bushes a little. Keep them in good condition.

The reason it is higher at the rear is it's supposed to be better for handling. But 10mm shouldn't be bad for it. I think it can ruin the car if it's too low.

I was intending once a year with servicing the bushes. I think youshould look at doing this as I've not done it yet. I'd say just a little "squirt" of grease on each bush.
