Quick update for the time being.
Quick picture from Last week,

Then on Friday.. This happened.

Exhaust snapped, as did the bolts at the bottom of the manifold.
So left the car until Monday, until I could get some bolts.
Went out today, let my friend "have a go" of my car.. Silly faggot rode the clutch and didnt lift his foot off, Clutch went. Facepalm.
Also I got this,
Big thanks to Jake, (Boony, on here) For the engine, and a few other parts.. along with the Torsion bar lowering a while back
So need a few parts for the engine before it can be fitted, I'm using a 1.1 box on it for the time being. And I'll be fitting it asap while its off the road, along with tidying the engine bay up aswell as the paintwork.

Had another shitty couple of weeks..
The day after I sorted the exhaust, I let a mate drive my car..Which ended up with a Fudged clutch. So the car's been off the road and at my Uncles while I collect some bits and shits for the engine.
Got to give a massive Thanks to saxovtrmk1, He's sorted me a shed load of bits in the past week for the engine at a shit hot price too. And still sorting more bits for me
I've bought a new clutch from Sexy_gt on here too for the VTS lump also. I'm hoping to have the engine in and running within the next 2-3 weeks, as I don't really need it for work so can take my time on tidying the engine bay and sorting any rust issues.
Picture of the engine as it is,and a few odds and sods..I also left the shed door open..During the only rain storm of the day.

Haha, Nice one. Yeah, don't worry I don't plan on doing so
yeah thats another thing I hope to address while the engines out.
I want to repaint the car, inside and out. The outside, I'm just gonna settle for Satin/Matte black.. But rattle cans. I really wish I'd done it first time round rather than dicking about with chalkboard paint, as it just ends up looking grey and stains easily. The inside I'm doing with black, with the cage being white.

Update yaaaay
Commenced the removal of the engine and renovation of the engine bay this week. Pretty slow progress if I'm honest, but its getting there. I was actually really surprised at how easy the engine came out. Only problem I had was with a cable on the gearbox that had a rounded nut on, so I ended up snipping the wire and removing the nut afterwards...Oh, and the fact the engine ended up dropping on my foot off the jack.
Old engine out, new one under for cover for the time being.
Working all weekend, so I'll be carrying on with it on Monday.
I've recently gone and bought a welder, so I'll be testing it on the engine bay.
Suprisingly, the rust isn't too bad. 2 Spots under the Ecu as you can probably see ones smaller than a 5 pence piece, the other hasn't gone through completely and is still solid. just looks a mess. Looks alot worse than it actually is in the photo's as I've started sanding some of the bay back so alot of it is just Orange rusty dust.
I'll be treating the engine bay with rust prevention stuff, then coating it afterwards in a gloss black.

Cheers guys, Glad to finally be getting round to doing it.. Its only taken me 14 months Haha.
I've still got the brakes to sort yet, as I'd like to stay 3 stud. I've got a set of 283mm calipers, that I'd like to try and fabricate onto the struts or AX struts if needs be as Mikol used them for his brakes due to the spacing or something. So I'll look at that when I'm next on the Isle of Man and have some metal handy.
Next task, once the engines in and running correctly will be to tackle the body work as the Chalkboard novelty is wearing off Lol, and its a bastard to keep stains off. It'll most likely be going Rattle can Satin/Matte black. Next lot of updates and pictures will be next week when I'm off work again. Until then, i've got a 307 Hdi xsi to roll deep in

Did you say you're keeping the same struts just changing the brakes? Didn't really understand your post in my thread.

Got the Stickers from a Guy I used to Race with. He makes stickers in his spare time, Cost me about a fiver for the 2
yeah the chalkboard paint is alright when the cars wet, as it makes it go black..I'm guessing the sun gets to it and makes it fade slightly.

Haha Cheers, yeah It took some balls to just sand down the original paint (that was left anyway) to just paint it with the Chalkboard paint. I'll measure the diameter of the cage bars tomorrow when I'm working on it, if I remember

Iye, thats what I plan to do. If you look at some of Mikols threads http://www.saxperience.com/forum/member.php?u=25059 mainly his progress thread and such, he's the wizz at doing the big brake conversions for 3 stud struts. But yeah, i'm going to see what I can do with mine.. If I fail, I'll see if I can get Mikol to do it for me. Reason being, I like my 3 stud Compo MO's.. as I'm sure you do too Lol. So I want to keep them for aslong as possible

Cheers man, It's nice to know some people appreciate it. I'm starting to feel embarrassed when sat in traffic with other cars. Especially when I park in Manchester city centre and realise I'm not in home territory when my Saxo is parked next to Flying Spur's and Mercedes SLS's. Haha.
But yeah, I will definitely be going 4 Stud at some point. I've got the rear S beam ready, Just waiting to get a set of VT struts, wishbones,ARB etc.. But i'd like to atleast try and see where I can get with knocking up a half decent brake setup for a 3 Stud like Mikol did/does.

Slight update,
Engine conversion is coming along, slowly. The engines in, but not running (Yet). I'm going to collect an OMP Exhaust tomorrow for it, and a couple of sensors. Then that Should be everything. Apart from Bolting in the Ecu engine mount and doing the fluids.
However, I had some slightly annoying and quite honestly fucking annoying information earlier about the engine. One of the previous owners informed me of it having had Severe headgasket failure during there ownership, and got rid of the engine. Only to have found the owner after that had flogged the engine to me, without telling me about the failure. So its a bit hit and miss at the moment, I'm unsure whether the engine will run.. And if it does, how long it will last.
So thats my planned trackdays out of the window.
I'll update with pictures and more info when I can. I'm off to drown myself in cider.
