Default Any good for beginner

Hi all, always wanted to get into photography and stuff and thought about getting a camera to start out with. Don't want to spend too much incase it's not my thing.

Anyway seen a Nikon Coolpix L120 for £129.99 down from £259.99.

So just wondering if this camera is any good for someone who is just starting out ?

If not what would you suggest that isn't that much dearer.

Cheers,

Craig

It depends on what kind of photography you want to get into , a coolpix is a basic digital camera , personally I'd find yourself a fair priced Dslr try your local camera shop or currys etc with a Dslr you can do so Much more and the end results are great I got myself a Nikon d3100 with a 18-105mm lens that's a great beginners camera but it does cost £350

Didn't get the chance to go look about mate lol came in the other day and my mum had went and bought me the fujifilm s2960.

Will be using it mainly for pictures of the car, car meets with other forums, stuff like motor shows etc; and maybe some scenary pictures.

Not going for anything pro just wanted a decent camera for decent photos without spending 4/500 quid. May enjoy it and get something better through time though.

Do you think that camera will work for what I am looking at using it for ?

Thanks,

Craig
