Its having a full day to sort bit sand pieces out and then actually getting cracking doing stuff. And having a bit of spare cash to buy the last few remaining parts I still need!
The motivation WILL return though

Yeah hope so!
I got a day off later this week. Few bits on the house to do in the morning, but might spend a bit of time sorting stuff out in the afternoon and maybe finish painting the interior? Hope the weather is good! Plus payday soon so might order a clutch plate so the gearbox can be fitted and the engine dropped back in

its just 8mm fuel hose, not overbraded at all.
think copper would be about £30 more or less same as rubber pipe.you can bend it by hand same as brake pipe but would need a bender "excuse the pun lol" for tight bends etc,but you can get them for £8

Love your projects!
Regards to fuel lines, ive had that type of pipe for awhile now and haven't had any problems!
However if you decide to go copper it can look awesome! Needs to be straight though!

Fitted carbon door trims earlier, the paint wasnt in great condition in that area so looks much better now.... also made up some carbon fuel pump covers, was going to buy some but found some carbon sheet i forgot i had. Made some templates up and fitted with threaded rivets
need to fit a new handbrake cable, tidy the engine bay wiring up, bleed the brakes and coolant system, refit a few other parts and then mot

now decided to mount my battery on the back of my passenger side alloy foot rest, means cable from starter is a lot shorter and the battery is nicely out of the way
battery will go on tomorrow, hoping to get mot next week now

Don't take this the wrong way but - For the love of god, turn the battery round so the terminals aren't near that big bit of metal that your mounting it to. lol.
I know you've probably thought of that and the pics are just a mock up but in case you hadn't, all it would take is a bit of damp or a bit of something conductive to short that out and you could have problems.
Other than that...
Looks like a great idea. Less cable = less volt drop and less messing.

Right had a very productive evening...
Fitted front brake lines, refitted fuel lines, fitted new gti 6 master cylinder and reservoir. Bleed brakes, refitted battery, fitted seat, fitted front polycarbonate windows
Started up and ran well, slight misfire but nothing major, been standing for 6 months so that's probably why. Will probably change the plugs anyway though.
Hoping to do a fair bit tomorrow night and then bring to work for mot on Thursday/Friday
