Collecting some bits in my spare room waiting to go on,
OMP exhaust from my last saxo (Put this on tonight, Well Saxdazza did it all actually while he was here ) Cheers man.
Sounds immense. Its still on the standard manifold at the minute, my 4 branch needs a repair which I'm gonna take to get done this week or next hopefully.
Sorry for piss poor quality picture, I took it with a Rock..
http://i746.photobucket.com/albums/x...73260074_n.jpg
Wheels I'm putting on this week as they are for the time being. Will get them redone eventually though. There is still snow and piss poor weather where I live so I'll wait until the weather is being more kind and once the endless amount of potholes have been filled in.

What did you do with the lambda sensor underneath?

I only have one Lambda, in the Manifold. Still there at the minute too, until I change the manifold.
Mines a crossover, so basically a Mk1 engine etc.. Cat underneath and whatnot.

Lucky kant.
I cant be fucked with the lights on the dials tbh. My supersprint sounds nigh on OEM (like a panel filter). Only time you can hear it is when im going down the gears it pops and bangs.

I thought it was a 3plug, 2 lambda system at 1st. Had some massive heatshield on the manifold which I thought the cat was under. Looked underneath to find a Sports cat instead!
Ahh yours pops and bangs
Haven't had any pops or bangs yet. Did on my last car, but that was overfueling like hell.
Although, sounds lovely anyway though

Its great on fuel too!

Haha, Yeah I just turned up, looked for rust and handed money over.
Turns out it was a bargain anyway, confirmed it with Stew that its got a Quaife Diffed box on. Looked through the History and reciepts to find one for a Gearbox overhall at a Place in Congleton (about 5miles away from me) Guy who had it before me was a bit of a baller it turns out. Sports cat, Diffed Box, Decent set of pagid pads up front and reciepts from being at 'The ring' too.
Ahh yeah, look forward to a vid
I'm getting a few on Wednesday of mine. Meeting up with Alanapone for some Airport tunnel blasting. Went through the airport tunnels near me earlier, wanting to get some video's but both my Camera and phone had no battery when I got there Ffs!
I was suprised at the fuel consumption on mine too tbh, with some hooning twinned with town driving, I've been getting 40/45mpg. Which is pretty decent Imo. Although, it just means I can drive harder for longer..But then I'm still filling it up all the time.
I've used 80quids worth of fuel since saturday morning. And I've really only needed to use the car for work, which in total since saturday is around 25miles.

Same haha i checked the car over like no tommorow for rust and the usual suspects and turned out to be mint so bought it.
I was expecting it to basically drain me and force to me sell on but its actually much much better then the Micra i had.
Mine came like fully standard bar the HU and it looks pretty decent. (cheers mate )
Its got fresh pads on the front/back. Only thing that i had issus with at first the temp guage but that was a thermostat jobby and my ABS light was on. (didnt think much of it at first) warrenty soon fixed that. £100 (HAH) /trollface
I did try to do a vid tonight but the gf said it was pointless as you couldnt hear it..

Fucking hell, more economical than a Micra? Win on all counts then haha.
Ahh, thats one of the little piss taking niggles I've had with mine.. Temp gauge being a bastard. Just does it randomly.. Did it on saturday for about 10minutes, then was fine. Has been fine since then.
Assuming either temp sensor or Thermostat, both are cheap as fuck anyway..Ideally need to get round to changing it. Aswell as sorting the ABS light, as that comes on now and then. Works though, felt it kick in a couple of times, so it may be a loose connection somewhere? Fuck knows.
Only other problem is a Knocking from underneath now and then, Something from the front passenger side I think, can feel it through my feet when going over bumps quite slowly. As if somethings loose. Possible ball joint or worn bush on the lower arm, Need to get under and have a proper look ideally..but I can never be arsed to do so. Need to clear out my garage so I can get the car in there. Still got my 1st car from over 2 years ago in there.
Phhht, girls... My gf refused to get in my car earlier now the exhaust has been changed. I promised her I'd keep it standard and thus quiet.. Meeh.

It was really bad on fuel lol.
Yeah i was out on a A road for a good hr basically testing the water and my temp light came on i was NOOOO IVE BEEN FUCKED OVER!?!!?! /cryface
But when i stopped, no mayo and radiator water normal level so i then had to ask what else.. it appeared to be the thermostat. (long term it can damage the engine i read).. water not cooling down you probs know anyway. I would change it asap tbh.
Mine refused at first, she even went in a huff over it LOL. no ye are filming it end of!
I need to adjust mine as its not in the centre. Im pretty anal tbh. Needs another wash and looking at the miles it had 4 weeks ago to now i wonder how i managed them.
Hopefully it does me proud. It certainly puts a smile on my face.

Met up with Alanapone today, to record some Tunnel runs with the New exhaust and Simota Induction kit on. Sounded epic, if I do say so myself.
Still got some more to go though, getting my 4 branch welded this week then will get that on. Then will see what gains I get from it all
Only decent video I got, Skip to 0:35.. pissing about before then.

Also, couple of better pictures of the OMP Exhaust. Its sounding much better now that its bedded itself in a tad. Had a cheeky late night blast earlier, had a few pops, bangs and some Flames Got a bit more raspy at the higher end of the rev range too. Sounds unreal with the windows down!
Excuse the Ghetto spec exhaust hanger too, need to bend the other hanger slightly so I can make the backbox sit higher in the recess nicely..And so I can get the other Rubber on.
Can see clearly in this picture, although its not as bad as it seems in this pic.. but Ideally it needs to go up another 30mm for it to sit nicely.

Now rocking 2 white & 2 green VTS wheels. Ghetto spec and tings.
Ordering springs next week, will be lowering it 40mm, no more.
Then its just on to tidying things up, replacing the grill as its peppered with stone chips and missing the chevrons etc.
A friend is Detailing it for me, once the weather is kinder to us..and once I've got my arse in gear changing that wing.
R.I.P Old Saxo, which is due to go to the scrap yard tomorrow..If I can be arsed getting the petrol out of it anyway
New vs Old.
Edit* Also note my Peado of a mate being a fat dick in the passenger seat.

Nah, its a Slip on type of rear box..Slides over the centre pipe. It will go up more if I remove the Heat shield above it..Which I should have done in the 1st place, but I was being a dick and rushed.
I'll probably do it tomorrow. Pissing me off with how it sits at the minute.
Cheers

Went out for a spirited drive yesterday along the A54 (Buxton to Congleton)
Was a tad wet/damp but it stuck to the road suprisingly well for the conditions anyway.
Also put the MK1 Rear lights from my old Saxo on, Think they look much better..not sure how, but they do. Need to get round to getting that 'VTS N'ring' sticker off the boot too, does my gooch in when I keep getting people asking about it..or sitting behind/beside me always wanting to race.

Did take a couple of Video's but the sound quality was hampered by the wind unfortunatly.

Some hoonage was done. -_-
Usually do this road on the bike when the weathers good enough, some epic crests and dips where the front goes all wobbly and light. Makes me feel like a right baller if I get them right.
Will try and get some more pictures/video's of the same road this week..Hopefully it'll be dry, theres a couple of what I like to call 'Gran Turismo bends' on there. Cambered hairpins with armco and everything! Tripod'ing it FTW.
But yeah, I'm going to Scotland next month, maybe early April to see my Mum, then I can come to Blackpool on the way back.
