Will try and get some more pictures/video's of the same road this week..Hopefully it'll be dry, theres a couple of what I like to call 'Gran Turismo bends' on there. Cambered hairpins with armco and everything! Tripod'ing it FTW.

But yeah, I'm going to Scotland next month, maybe early April to see my Mum, then I can come to Blackpool on the way back.
This pleases me slight perverse-ness intended

Haha I get the same vibe when on the M60 going to the Trafford centre. Straight lines ftl.

I've been wanting to go on the M6 Toll for ages, after seeing a Video of an Almera 1.5 topping out at 135mph on there. Thats probably the only Motorway stretch I'd enjoy.

Lul, the only reason I changed the MK2's for the MK1's is because one of the sidelight bulbs went, while trying to change it I snapped the Clip that holds the bulb holder in place FFFFF.

Lucky find with a diffed box, does it feel much different compared to an open diff? Must be better coming out of a damp bend and getting th grip down better?

Haha, 1st time I went on the motorway properly was when I went to Cornwall about 3 weeks after passing my test. Shitting myself in the Slow lane FTL.
Cheers Suppose it keeps me off the streets, oh wait. Atleast my mum knows I'd rather spend my money on Petrol than Drugs..So she's sort of chuffed Lol.

Iye, I was proper suprised. Only bought it as a cheap runabout..Turns out its got a couple of Decent bits on Erm, as for comparing. I've no idea.. My last saxo was a 16v'd 1.1, on a 1.1 box. So comparing is a bit of a ball ache.
Although pulling out of corners it does handle it rather well. Pulls me in a straight line near enough though Lol.

I'd like to get hold of a standard S box though to compare it with.

Haha, I was looking at Suzuki Vitara's and Lexus IS200's before I got this Fuck knows what possesed me too.
Somehow ended up with another saxo Lol.
I was always going to get another but I didnt plan on doing so, so soon.

I'm chuffed with it, Looking through paperwork its had a Quaife Diff'd box, Sports cat, Decent Pagid pads on the front. Found a couple of reciepts for Valves and a 'head clean up' . Trying to delve in deeper as too what was done, whether it was just a Headgasket or Head work etc.

Collecting a new Wishbone this weekend, to replace the fubar'd Ball joint on the O/S. Making a right racket. Theres a fair amount of play in it too Tightening up the wheel bolts on the Front O/S and the strut physically moves about 5/10mm. I need my car though! Just a shame I can't do it sooner than this weekend.

Ohhh i've always had a soft spot for is200s. Its the lure of saxos you see Bloody hell thats awesome! Seems very strange the previous owner never mentioned any of those bits?! Quite vague in terms of the clean up.

My drivers side balljoint is shagged as well makes a grotty noise I thought mine was knackered but yours sounds bloody dangerous!!

Think its the Clocks in the IS's that I like, they look like a Watch. Fucking epicly ghetto!

It was the Owner prior to the guy I bought it off that had most of the stuff done. Person I bought it from was about 45 Lol. I don't think he had a clue either tbh. Oh well, his loss is my gain

Ahh I no, its fucking bad. It doesn't make a noise as such, its just when pulling off my drive and coming to the end of the road under braking it judders a bit? Don't really need my car now until the weekend anyway, so I'm gonna try and tempt myself away from driving it.
My brothers left his car here, So I can use that today I guess. Diesel FTL.

Collected a set of struts, and a new wishbone from Danny-vts on the weekend, thanks alot mate

I also collected this....

2003 Peugeot 106 with 58k on the clock, My new 1.1 of love.
Bought it too use as a daily while I work on the VTS now I have the space and money to do so. Although so far, I havent driven the 1.1 much..so it seems to defeat the purpose of having it Lol.

Arrh yeaaah.

Rear axle has camber, quite badly.

Burghhhh..

Come to the conclusion that once the insurance is up I'll break it and sell it for bits.
Talking to a mate earlier with a Boosted MX5 and tbh, thats what I'm doing next.. Gonna get a basic one asap and get it boosted over summer.

Still have the 106 though, so I can possibly 16v that if i can be arsed.

Lol, Exactly.. FML.

Only noticed the axle earlier tonight..Looks ghetto, but probably explains why it handles like a boat.
Aslong as I can get around £500 back from breaking it, I'll be chuffed. As I'll keep a few bits like the gearbox anyway. (original plan was to break it anyway, when it came to getting rid)

Is it only the axel thats knackered?

Youve have the car what a month? what else is up with it? sell that 106 and get a axel lol.

I was majorly confused when you bought a 1.1 when you could of used that to sort the VTS out.

Thats like me buying another car because my rear calipers were shot.

It will be fine, Mokes been using his with a fkd axel for ages iirc.

Yeah its only the Axle really, couple of other niggles but meeh.
Wont be getting rid until June anyway, which is when the Insurance is up..

Only got the 106 as it was cheap, and was a spur of the moment thing. Will be using it from now on really, to go to work and such in as it runs on hopes and dreams, whereas I'm using £80 worth of fuel a week in the VTS.

Aslong as the S lasts me until June I'll be chuffed, it was cheap enough to buy anyway.. Depending how much money I have come June, I may possibly keep it and take it off the road to repair it. But just depends on my financial situation.

£80 a week?! i use about £40/50 and thats with mixed driving.

Mines had a few niggles but press on and sort them lol! I spent £80 last week sorting the rear calipers, £29 for oil and filter, £10 on thermostat, £3.50 on indicator stalk, and £9.85 on new caliper sliders etc all in a space of the last 3 weeks. Ok its not as pricey as a axel but they hit me week after week lol. my rear pad in one caliper comes loose whenever until iget my new bits in the post. But shes kinda tamed up and fine.

Id personally sort it and mod that.

What other niggles?

Iye, I do alot of 'Pleasure driving' via the Airport tunnels
I try not too, but I always end up there somehow Lol.

The little niggles I'm sorting anyway, as I have the bits to do so here... Wishbone, Abs sensor and the wing etc.
I'll check prices and shit for a refurbed axle aswell, although.. If I had £950..I'd buy the Two tone SAXOD 'S as that shits mint!

If I didnt buy the 106, It wouldnt be so bad.. But still, spending £300+ on an Axle for a Saxo I will no doubt crash, ruin or blow up is still a major pisstake Lol
