Default Mk1 oil pressure switch

My question is are mk1 and mk2 pressure switches the same on a vtr ?

I have recently put a manifold on my car and for some reason the oil lights on. I have had the oil pressure switch replaced but it hasn't switched off.
I have had the car checked over to see if it's ok and it's fine to drive. Also had a full service but the light still stays on.

Can anyone suggest anything it could be ?

Is it an aftermarket manifold? It maybe excess heat near the oil pressure switch wiring causing the light to come on.
