I've got a heavy duty Halfords one, was marked down from £159.99 to £99 and it has never let me down.
It has a 3 year warranty too so if the hose breaks I can get a new one under warranty.

The ones I have found have stated a 2yr warranty...
Is there a card in the box? Or did you get it from somewhere like John Lewis that do better warranties for free?

Mine is from Argos I think, might of been halfords. Only a small karcher one sure it was only about £60. Does everything I need it to tbh, nice and small so takes up no room, always works, powers nice foam through my lance and I've never felt the need for anything stronger. It even froze up last year, inside the house with a hair dryer and half hour later it was fine.
I used to work at a car wash as a kid and there we had 2 of the massive karchers which needed oil in them and all sorts. They were powerful but even going to mine after them I've never wished I had one of those. They were reliable and on for 9 hours a day 7 days a week. Mines been reliable for probably an average of half an hours use once a week for 3 years. They have a nilfisk at work and it hardly works. It's only used about once a month to clean the vans and it's left outside all year. Not looked after in the slightest but it hasn't seemed that reliable. Not saying they're shit though as that one really is treated like shit.

Karsher, though be careful if you have any painted plastic trims on your car, it's powerful enough to peel it off if you get too close.

Based on what?
Can't stand it when someone throws an opinion around like that without justification.

Been using my Karcher for about 9 years. As well as washing the cars Ive prepped floors with it, stripped paint from garage walls, cleaned caravans, the whole lot. Never had a squeak out of it.

Even using industrial PW's as mentioned above I've never seen this. Ever. Only place I have to be careful is bearings on bikes and engine bay on a car. Only use one on the bonnet lining.
It must of been very very badly painted and you holding it against the paint from about 2mm for that to happen.

My dad has a Karcher, He's had since i was about 5 (im 26) and the only thing he's ever had to repair on it is the hose. The handle is snapped, The casing is half missing but it will still pull paint off a house.
A few family members/friends have tried different brands of pw over the years and they basically don't stand up to the abuse.
About 2 years ago i bought a Wet vac, A Bissell, it wasn't cheap (around £250) it got sent back 3 times in 7 months due to a number of faults. I gave up in the end and bought a Karcher Puzzi. Ive been using this daily for around 6 months now and it's never missed a beat.
Also, as long as pay the little extra for commercial Karcher models they will come out and repair them on site if they ever did break, Which they dont.
I swear by Karcher, If i need a machine and Karcher make it, I will always go with them from now.
Hows that for justification pumpkin?
