After I heard that the Head gasket went I contacted Ricky P RPM but as I guessed no answer. I have had this engine for 7 months and it’s been in the garage for 3 of them months I have only done round about 700 miles. I was told by Ricky P RPM that the engine had done 50k, I asked him for proof and he said he would but he never no matter how many times I asked him. So I thought to myself I have spent all this money mite as well just get the Head gasket done it be back to normal again just like the happy days.
Anyways Pug1off where making a start on the head gasket and when they took the head off they noticed that the block had a crack
This was a piss take; I tried to contact Ricky P RPM again, but yet again no ANSWER! I was told by Pug1off that the engine that came out the pervious car must have had a very hard impact in it past life and over time the crack has got worse.
The cars at pug1off for 2/3 weeks getting a lot of work done it, will update once the cars back

That's gona cost a fair bit I imagine I rekon the engine has done way more miles then 50k, and if he had no proof or anything sounds like he was lying.
Good luck with the repair tho sukh shud be up and running soon!

yea man, a rebuild was £1600 i did not want a 2nd block, but i thought if pug1off are going to rebuild a new block for me might as well do a few extras. so after sweet talking my mum she gave me a little loan lol. The engine was a low mileage because there was no lips on the bores of the block.

His a cool guy very nice, but i dont think his honest. i gave a him a new exhaust manifold gasket when i sent him my new manifold to fit while he had car and when pug1off took of the manifold off he used gasket sealant
No personal problem btw.

Looks a nasty crack, things like that usually happen when the car is driven hard from cold. Low mileage doesn't always mean it's had an easy life!

Looks like its frozen due to lack of antifreeze IMO, thats how a lot of them go when the block has filled with ice and there isn't any where else for it to go

it could be, all i know is that ricky p rpm done all the fluids on the car when he put the engine in. so i would have thought he would have used antifreeze.
