yeh liam i know what your taking about with having to redo bits im not 100% happy with body work but as your seeing woring till silly hours in morning theres only so many hours in the day after mod nats ill sort them do you think it will be done for mod nats my fingers are stll crossed mine will be keep up good work good luck with the bolts you painted without marking them

yeah thats the problem it was about 11 at night that i decided that the prep was done and i could paint. aint good that im learning to paint on a car that has to be 100% but its all learning so least i can learn from my mistakes aslong as i can get to mod nats and win a cuple trophies im happy. haha no what you mean about the bolts i didnt even clear coat mine as i thought no paint getting the door shuts ect in clear coat if im gonna be sanding it all down in a month

well heres where i got up to yesterday decided that if im going to be sanding it all down and respraying there was no point in wasting more time and clear coat on it so started putting it back together got all wings ect all back on and started rewiring my doors need to finish off sound deaderning my doors the 4mm silent coat stuff im using is awesome tomorrow i will be getting my vt kit and wheels sprayed up then its a day and half of putting it all back together

plenty of room for my dual 210 alternators

well had a great weekend at mod nats car isnt 100% finished as i had to work 39 straight hours to get the thing finsihed enough to go but im loving how its come out cant wait to get it spot on inside and out then i can start on my new idea

I reckoned that paint would look like some chavy half done car, but it actually suits it really well. Like it alot mate.

Well time for the big update after rushing a few things it had put me behind even more so started working on the saxo 6am Thursday morning 1st thing was to sand down my bonnet wasn't happy with how it came out, at the same time my mate finished off smoothing the VT kit. Next I cleaned up the expanding foam from the roof its been doing be head in for years, going to be trimming the the mdf down a couple of inches to open the windscreen up a little so it isn't so dark inside.

Next I fitted my new amps, haven't had chance to set them up yet but sound alot louder and maybe cleaner than my genesis amps maybe because im not pushing them as hard to get loud. Thursday night we got all the VT kit ECT in the booth, I then spent all night Thursday and Friday fitting it all back together.

Got to around 10pm Friday and i got the seats and subs back in after 39 hours working. I finally gave up didn't get a chance to get passenger door speakers in or my 210 alt but at least i could drive to mod nats and boom. The show was awesome weather sucked but always good to catch up with alot of mates i haven't seen in a while and made a few new ones, the scores were down but i still got 1st in propper droppers (153.4) 1st in 149.9 bassrace and 2nd in emma.

looks good, at first i was sceptical (sp) about the smooth bumpers with bumpstrips smoothed in but they have come out really well and look pretty straight unlike another car i know of with the same style bumpers
