Default car mat re-stiffening....

Hey guys, here's an odd one for you.....

My car mats have got a rubber coating on the back to keep them stiff and to stop them from slipping about. Well thats worn off on the drivers side one and it can slip under the pedals, and thats hardly ideal! Any ideas how to restiffen it? I know its a weird question, but any serious suggestions would be epic

Yeah to stop it sliding use skateboard grip tape on the underside of the carpet, and to stiffen again use like a canvas rucksack, then grip tape over that and itll grip to the floor again :-)

Surely easier to buy new mats lol?

Though the above suggestion would work I guess.

Could maybe use an aluminum sheet or something between the grip tape and the bottom of the mat to make it stiff?
